We are a family that eats together, cooks together and bakes together

Saying that we Sys love to eat is an understatement. We grew up with our kitchen always being full of goodies, our fridge filled with delicious left overs and the kitchen counter top filled with homemade cakes and sweet treats.

This Christmas was no different, led by our budding chef brother, we made entrees that ranged from osso buco to duck pasta to ribs to salads to blueberry and lemon bread to pavlova with mixed fruit. And because our mixer was missing a part we used a hand whisk to whisk everything from the egg whites to the creams, mixing fervently to have it reach the stiff peaks consistentcy the recipes asked for. Then the following day when we're left with an array of leftovers from the night before, Mark, our brother, will come up with a delicious way to turn them into a completely new dish. For example, he turned the osso buco leftovers into a delicious ragu pasta sauce the next day. He also turned the leftover risotto into deep fried risotto balls stuffed with cheese, yum yum yum!!!!!
